Schedule of Weekly League Events / Other: Lineups are Due no later than the first game of the NFL week. For the record this usually a Thursday, Saturday or a Sunday. Lineups must be submitted with your password on your team page via the Internet pages. DO NOT MAIL you lineup to me. This only creates more work for us. If you have a problem we suggest you have a friend put your team for you. If a player is not on your roster you CAN NOT use them. Sorry guys but we have to have these deadlines to keep everyone on the same schedule and happy with the league. Please make sure you hit the Re-Load button if you don't see them there. AOL users may have to clear cache to see updates. The Official weekly update will be posted no later than 3 days after the final game of the week. Chat Night Thursday Nights will be US Fantasy Football Chat Night! Chat will be in the US Fantasy Sports chat room from 9 PM EST to 10 PM EST or as long as you want to stay. Chats will start the first week of preseason. Real Time Make copies of everything you do!! Just start a USFS disk or file and save your work. After you put in a lineup print off the form that comes up as backup. Make a folder and put USFS on it. Teams are required to support any problem that they might have. While we do keep very good records errors can happen and we do at times misplace or lose things. Position Eligibility: Player position eligibility will be based on what position the player is listed at per http://www.nfl.com, the official web site of the NFL. If a player is listed at multiple positions you may use him at either one but must disclose his starting position on your lineup. Injured Reserve: There is no longer a injured reserve. This system caused problems and often people overloaded there rosters with players that were not hurt or owners forgot to take a player off the IR.
Keeper Rules: Franchise Players: All teams are allowed 3 Franchise players! For each player you keep you lose a draft pick. So if you keep 3 players you will lose your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Round draft picks! Make sure your keepers are good ones!! If you elect not to keep players for each one you don't keep you'll get a draft pick. These draft picks may be traded for players. You can keep 2 Franchise players and trade your third round pick for a better player. The reason for this rule: 1. Allows teams to rebuild without giving away the farm. 2. 2. Allows good teams to get a reasonable draft pick for a player they are losing, thus protecting a team that drafted well in the previous year! Franchise Players must be named by July 21st of the next season. Teams may only carry 3 players from season to season. If the team does not have and owner then the Franchise Players will be named by USFS Ownership. NO TRADES may take place prior to the league having a full ownership. All teams should be open to all trades. Private trading between teams will not be permitted. Check the Bulletin Board for the trade status of your league. Players Traded before July 21st MUST be listed as franchise players on the new team. Players brought onto your roster before July 21st are Franchise Players and you must keep them and have them count against you. Carryover Players: Players that you bring onto your team via trade after the July 21st deadline are called CARRYOVER PLAYERS! These players are obtained by trading off your current roster for draft choices or players and can only take place between July 21st and 48 hours prior to the draft of that conference. Keeper Rules and Explanations: This is pretty easy to understand. First, there are two deadlines you have to understand. The first one is the July 21st cut off. This is the date when you tell us if you want to keep any of the players on your team. You are only allowed to keep a maximum of 3. For each player you keep you lose a pick starting with the 1st round - this is only true before the July 21st deadline. The second deadline is 48 hours prior to your draft. This is when you lose all players off your team accept your keepers and carryover players. For every Keeper you have you lose a draft pick: Keep the Max 3 players and lose your 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks Keep 2 players and lose your 1st and 2nd round picks Keep 1 player and lose you 1st round pick Keep 0 Zero players and love no draft picks. Trading Players in the Offseason: Teams may trade players on their previous years rosters up until 48 hours prior to the conferences draft. Keepers are locked after July 21st no questions. From July 21 to the start of the season you may not trade your keepers unless it is for another teams keeper (even only). You are allowed to trade players from your previous years roster for picks or players but are only allowed to have the maximum number of players on your roster during the draft. 4 Players on your roster After the 1st round 5 Players on your roster After the 2nd round 5 Players on your roster After the 3rd round 6 - 4th, 7 - 5th, 8 - 6th, 9 - 7th, 10 - 8th 11 - 9th, 12 - 10th, 13 - 11th, 14 - 12th 15 - 13th to 16th I realize this is a little different and maybe a little complex but please follow alone. KEY NOTE: Your not allowed to stay ahead in the draft. We will start DROPPING PICKS after the 3rd Round!! In other words you can have 5 players after R3 but you would then lose your next two picks to bring you even with the draft. (Keep in mind you must adhere to the limits noted above) Examples: Let's say you keep 3 players and trade a player a 4th round pick. After the 4th round you would have to come clean. In other words, you would lose your 5th round pick cause you would have 5 players on your team already. Ok but what if I traded the 5th round pick for a player and a 3rd. Then you would lose your 4th round pick but be clean after the 5th. While you are clean after the 5th you traded away your pick and now don't have it. We can not allow you to pick if you have no slot in that round. This can get hairy when your trading lots of picks and players but many should agree that this is a much better concept than taking your picks off from the bottom. What if (Above Examples) I made the two trades for 3rd rounder, and I trade one of my players for a 6th round pick and trade another player for a 7th. Ok....WOW! You would have the following: Round Comment Breakdown 1 No 1st keeper 1 after 1 2 No 2nd keeper 1 after 2 3 No 3rd keeper 3 after 3 #1Trader 3rd 4 after 3 #2 Trader 3rd 5 after 3 MAX 4 Since your ahead you 5 after 4 Lose the pick 5 You traded this pick 5 after 5 You traded away your pick! 6 5th Rd trade lose 6th 5 after 6 Penalty is your next two picks! #3 Trader 6th 6 after 6 7 Your Pick 7 after 7 #4 Trader 7th 8 after 7 8 Lose your 8 8 after 8 Penalty to come clean and so on. IMPORTANT NOTE. Coming clean does not start until the end of each Round starting at the end of the 3rd. You can not trade a single high pick for a single low pick just to get ahead in the draft. All trades must be approved by the league commish, league rep and asst. commish. Ok more samples. Trade your 8th and 11th for a 9th and 10th (Trade #5) 8 Now since you traded 8 after 8 your 8th & you are ahead you lose your 9th pick 9 Trade 8 away for lose 9 #5 Trader 9th 9 after 9 10 Your Pick 10 after 10 Trader #5 10th 11 after 10 11 You traded this pick but 11 after 11 are ahead so lose the next 12 Lose pick cause ahead in 11 after 12 in the 10th and traded the 11th. Note your traded 5th pick has now caught back up with you and put you one down 13 - 16 Your Pick 15 after 16 17 One extra at the end 16 End The KEY is that we will not let you have the opportunity to get ahead over the whole draft. Once you are ahead you have to come clean with the rest of the teams unless you have given away your slot to someone then you have the potential to get behind. Penalties MUST BE paid no matter if you are clean. If you want to send us example we would be more than happy to go over them for you. We will most likely also post it for all users. This system allows for the ultimate in parity.
Drafts: Each Draft will be made up of 12 teams (US Fantasy Football Leagues). If a team does not show up for the draft, a team will be picked by the commish or a named party. The first three rounds of the draft in an existing conference with go as follows: R1 12-1 Worst to Best Team from the previous year R2 12-1 Worst to Best Team from the previous year R3 12-1 Worst to Best Team from the previous year R4 12-1 Worst to Best Team from the previous year and then serpentine after that. So this means R5 would go from 1-12 Best Team from the previous year to the worst team and so on. All new conference drafts are held in a serpentine manner for the entire draft. Odd numbered rounds are selected in the order 1-12 and even numbered rounds are reversed 12-1. New league draft orders will be determined randomly by using a random dice machine located at: http://www.irony.com The commish will mail you more information on this but it is done 100% random as to grant parity to all. Existing Conferences draft order will be based on final rankings of teams based on the regular season points. If a team changes owners, the new owner inherits the draft position earned by the previous owner and his team. Drafts are a total of 16 ROUNDS. ALL TEAMS must be PAID for by DRAFT DAY!!! PLEASE!!! The payment address is listed above and we do accept Visa and Mastercard. Please be early for the draft as we would like to start at the times listed below. Draft orders will be mailed to you. VERY IMPORTANT!! Check the players that were carried over from last year! Each team was allowed 3 franchise players Not applicable with New Conferences. Each team will be made up of 16 slots. Drafting order is totally up to you, it's your team. We will announce the draft order and then give 5 minutes for all teams to prepare for the draft. Rapid Drafting We are asking that you know the draft order and pick as soon as it is your turn. This will save us a lot of time during the draft. There will be a ONE MINUTE max. time limit for each team to draft. In the event that you get kicked off the computer and you are not present for your pick I will hold the draft for a reasonable period and call you immediately on the phone for your pick. Please let me know if you are having computer problems. After holding, if you do not sign on the Commish will pick your player thus re-starting the draft. Location/Dates/Times The drafts are held in the US Fantasy Sports Chat room located at: TBA with New System Unable to make Draft day!!! We have a solution! The alternate draft option! There is a form that you can fill out that will allow you to draft and not even be present. Please see the league commish for this information or make arrangements with the commish about your teams draft. Or just make your own list and mail it to the commish, or have a friend draft for you. Additional Comments You may trade draft choices before and during the draft! Once the Draft starts we need the room to be quiet! You can IM others and talk that way but pay attention to the draft!! The Draft is very serious and we must respect each other. I want everyone to have fun but at the same time the more respect we give each other the faster the draft will go. Be prepared to pick, have a sheet to check off players selected by other teams. Be polite and take your time. Remember you only have ONE minute to pick, the faster you pick the faster the draft will go! Plan 3 hours for the total time for the Draft! If you have any questions please E-Mail me, don't wait with your questions. There will be no league questions on draft day.
Trades/Transactions For a trade to be valid all owners involved must be E-Mailed along with the commish and conference representative. Trades must be fair! In the event there is no league representative, please just mail the commish only! Fairness will be decided by the 3 part USFS Commettee (2 yes votes of the 3) Trade must have a majority vote to be valid All trades MUST be submitted by Weds at 8 PM EST! Transactions in the 3 player franchise leagues are based on first come first serve. NO TRADES/TRANSACTIONS AFTER WEEK 12 Traded players and Acquired players are available for play immediately. All trades must be approved before the player can play on your team! We reserve the right to hold any trade over the following week if submitted 48 hours before the next game of the next NFL week. Last check on the mail box will be 8:00PM Eastern Time on every WED night up until week 10. NO EXCEPTIONS! If the mail is slow getting to us we are sorry but this is the deadline. Do Not mail us about it we got it. Just post it on the board and move on, let us do the work and don't create more work for us please. Trades may be made for future picks, not to exceed more than one season into the future. Free Agents: Any active NFL player not on a team will be considered a free agent and eligible to be picked up. To sign a free agent just follow the guidelines above. Once you have signed a new player, that team must make room on the roster by either waiving or trading. The system will not allow for you to add a player without dropping a player first

Each member of the conference will be charged with the responsibility of acting in the best interest of the USFFL.
Other Issues: Appealing the Commissioner's Decision: Only One (1)Appeal per owner will be allowed per season. NO EXCEPTIONS. appealing the decision of the commissioner is very serious and is expected to be a rare occurrence. The process for appeals is as follows: 1. Owner notifies the Commissioner that he or she is appealing the decision. If the owners sends the appeal to the wholes league the appeal will be immediately rejected. We can not have an appeal going out to the whole league. 2. Commissioner notifies the Asst. Commish and League Rep. 3. Owner and Commissioner present their views to the (CW) via the Conference Rep. 4. Committee of the Whole members vote on the issue. 5. No team shall make statements of a public nature that is damaging to the Commish, Asst. Commish or League Rep. Trade appeals are considered an appeal to the Commissioner's Decision making ability. Amendment to the Rules Amendment to the Rules are allowed in the off-season. There will NEVER be a change during the season! By definition, the season begins once the first pick in the draft takes place or at the start of Free Agency. Amendments to the rules will follow this process: 1. Three (3) Conference owners or the Commissioner may request an amendment. 2. Amendments will be voted on by the USFFL Governing body. This body is made up of the Commish, Asst. Commish and all of the Conference Reps. 3. A 2/3 vote must be reached for the amendment to pass. 4. If approved, the amendment become a permanent article of the rules and assumes equal status with all other rules. 5. The owner of USFS reserves the right to make any change at any time. One request per household please. One request per envelope. * Note: FREE TRANSACTIONS with your Paid Entry otherwise $10.00 per player move. A player move is defined by a player moving onto your roster at your request.
Reprimanding an Owner If an owner is considered by the Commissioner, Asst. Commissioner or the Conference Rep to be conducting him or her self in a manner that is not in the best interest of the league, The following steps will be followed: 1. The Asst. Commissioner, Commish or Conference Rep will issue a warning. 2. If a second warning is issued, the Commissioner may recommend that the (CW) remove the owner from the league. 3. The owner of USFS reserves the right to remove any owner at any time for any reason if a % refund is given based one the current season.
Removing an Owner This is an extremely serious consideration, one which the league will avoid at all costs! If it arises, this is the process 1. Three (3) conference owners together or the commissioner may request that an owner be removed 2. A vote would then be taken by the CW. A 2/3 vote must be achieved to remove the owner. 4. The Commissioner would assume control of the team and a replacement is found as soon as possible. The new owner will inherit the roster and draft position for the coming season. 5. The owner of USFS reserves the right to remove any owner at any time for any reason if a % refund is given based one the current season.
Teams that Fold If a team folds the Commish will control the team and a replacement will be sought for future seasons. 3 weeks of inactivity is considered a folded team. Please, even if your line up does not change, let me know. No Refund for a folded team will be given!
